- PRNTIBM is a RAM-loadable font that lets Epson FX printers print
- the IBM PC character set. You invoke PRNTIBM by copying
- PRNTIBM.DAT to the printer. The printer will use the font until
- you turn power off, send a "Select ROM Character Set" command, or
- send another RAM-loadable font (such as PRNTMATH) to the printer.
- A simple "COPY PRNTIBM.DAT LPT1:" in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file will
- set up the printer for you automatically.
-
- To prevent gaps between lines of block characters (X'B3' to
- X'DA'), you must set the line spacing to 1/9". IBM.TXT has the
- escape sequences for 1/9", 1/6", 1/3", and 1/2" line spacings, and
- examples of all the graphical characters available to you.
-
- CHARSET.TXT is a "cheat-sheet" for the IBM Graphics Printer and
- for Epson FX printers, showing the characters, their decimal/
- hexidecimal values, and all the print control commands available.
-
- PRNTIBM.PAS is the TurboPascal program that generates PRNTIBM.DAT.
- You can edit and run PRNTIBM.PAS to create your own custom fonts.
